CURRENCY-ADJUSTED 2021 Performance

Realised Inflation has never been so high with Interest Rates so low.

Although I find Michael Batnick’s analysis somewhat misleading given he compares realised (over past year) inflation to forward interest rates (kind of comparing apples to oranges), but it’s worth highlighting nevertheless what exceptional year it has been and how low rates are.

RIP IOHAN - YOU WERE MY CYCLING INSPIRATION

Iohan Gueorguiev started his Youtube videos 7 years ago.

I stumbled upon the one from Alaska back in 2016/2017 and that’s what inspired me to take on the world on my gravel bike.

A couple of years later I left the City of London and started my trip.

Iohan left us a few weeks ago following a suicide. One of its causes was insomnia due to sleep apnea.

Here is a tribute to Iohan that died at age of 33.

The inspiration to future cyclists through his videos will live forever.

Thanks for sharing Iohan’s video I have not come across him before. An inspiring video but a very sad end to his life. Even for the most resilient, and he was clear extremely so, life can get too much. RIP
