Which EU Countries are the Most Expensive? (Visual Capitalist)

Which EU countries are the cheapest, and which ones are the most expensive? In this graphic, we look at price differences across EU countries using data from Eurostat. Countries that are dark blue have the lowest relative prices to the EU average, while countries that are bright blue have the highest relative prices. Relative prices were determined by the currency needed to buy the same product volume in different countries, calculated using actual individual consumption of goods and services and the exchange rate in each country. What Do Good Financial Advisors Cost in 2024? (Whitecoat Investor)

We recently had a discussion at our WCI business meeting about the cost of financial advice and how much is too much. Six ideas for Poland - Poland is a developed country. But it can still get richer. (Noahpinion)

A Polish podcaster recently asked me: “What do you think we need to do to escape the Middle-Income Trap?”. I laughed. “You escaped it years ago,” I said. “You’re a high-income country.” I wasn’t kidding. Poland’s economic rise has been among the world’s most remarkable. In 1991 it was a third as rich as countries like the UK, Japan, or Spain. But after three and a half decades of nearly uninterrupted growth, it’s almost as rich as those, and has already surpassed Portugal and Greece.

Inside Thailand's $2 Billion Scam Industry Now Targeting Americans (Newsweek)

The Chinese gangs taught me how to make my profile look credible, gain followers and post regularly. After finishing my training, I started identifying my victims through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Line," said Narin, a 20-year-old from northern Thailand. This wasn't just an isolated incident but part of a troubling trend. Thailand leads Asia in scam calls and text messaging, with a staggering 78.8 million incidents reported since last year and $2 billion lost to such crimes in recent years.
