Our 10-year outlook leans toward the U.S. underperforming international markets.

Quantum computing often raises concerns about Bitcoin’s future, with some fearing that these powerful machines could one day compromise its security. While the concern is understandable, a closer look reveals that quantum computing is far from posing any immediate threat to Bitcoin. Here’s why bitcoin investors, holders, and the like can remain confident. Quantum computing remains in its infancy, with the technology needed to challenge Bitcoin’s security likely decades away. In the meantime, Bitcoin’s adaptability, strong cryptographic foundation, and decentralized governance position it to meet any challenges head-on.
Wall Street

The financial news has been full of stories about both their fundraising success (Millennium recently raised another $10 billion) and their impressive investment returns (Citadel’s flagship multi-strategy fund has delivered annual returns of 19% since 1990).

Careers & Entrepreneurship
Travel
Travel can bring us from the far-flung corners of the planet to a tiny little perch right in our own backyard. It might inspire and enlighten us, awaken emotions inside us that we never knew existed, and even introduce us to entirely new ways of seeing the planet and our place within it. What’s more: In many cases, it doesn’t even require leaving home. Take our selection of 2024 travel books, which traverse the globe from the quiet bottom of the Grand Canyon to the chaotic streets of Hanoi, Vietnam.
Tech & Economy
Economy
Europe's Missing Trillions (Bloomberg)
The European Union's economy is struggling to keep pace with the US and China. Decades of low productivity, reliance on traditional industry and a failure to invest have lost it trillions of euros in growth, leading to this moment of reckoning. With France facing political upheaval and Germany’s economy in a downturn, the continent is at risk of losing its seat at the table.
Tech & Science
Billions of AI-robots and humanoids will soon be among us. In this new Citi GPS report, our analysis suggests there will be 1.3bn AI-robots by 2035 and 4bn by 2050. There are three primary drivers of this new market. Technology: Advances, especially in Artificial Intelligence (AI) have dramatically changed the outlook for robots. Economy: Robots can provide solutions to labor shortages. Shortages are exacerbated by aging demographics and more restrictive immigration policies. In addition, the payback period for capable robots looks increasingly attractive versus humans. Labor accounts for over 50% of GDP globally, underlining the potential size of the opportunity. Betterment: Technological progress has freed people from mundane tasks and increased leisure time. Continuing this trend, AI-robots will offer people access to robotic cleaners, butlers, chauffeurs, assistants, and carers.
